Bonjour, Summer in a Bottle Rosé

Wölffer Summer in a Bottle Côtes de Provence Rosé 2023 is here!

If you’re thinking, “Wait a minute! I thought Summer in a Bottle was already out?!” That’s the 2023 Long Island Rosé, in a special 10th anniversary bottle, and it is lovely. Full review here.

The Côtes de Provence Summer in a Bottle is the newest SIB of the bunch, introduced in 2022, and produced in France. And I bet I don’t need to tell you this, but it’s my favorite Wölffer rosé.

If you’re looking for the driest pink wine possible, always pick one from France. There are limits on the residual sugar in Provençal rosés, so you’ll never find yourself sipping something too sweet.

The 2023 SIB CDP is a pale peach, onion skin color. You get loads of peach and melon aromas, with some strawberry scents too. There’s even some stone and mineral fragrance in there. It’s wildly smooth with a lightly chalky, soft finish. This rosé is a blend of 59% Grenache, 18% Cinsault, 12% Syrah, and 11% Vermentino… and it couldn’t possibly be more perfect with salmon if it tried. It’s $27.00 on Wölffer.com.

While I always pick the Provence, Wölffer’s entire roster of rosés are so gorgeous you can’t go wrong in 2023. Here’s my review of their Estate Rosé too.
